The music of the 50's and 60's, which were known as the Golden Oldie era is still being enjoyed by many thanks to 2nd generation Platter Jerome Robinson who has been entertaining all over the world for over 40 years.  He recently celebrated a birthday and on his birthday he was singing as he said "I love making people happy, and music is one way to do that".

 

I always love when I get the opportunity to see him perform as I also loved those songs and when I hear them they bring back so many great memories.

 

Jerome began his singing and love of music as a young child. He sand with the children's choir at Springfield Baptist Church, in Washington, GA. Jerome always amazes his audiences, whether playing with a band in Las Vegas or giving of his time to perform for a local charity.

 

People are in awe as they hear his vocal capabilities, singing such hits as "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes", "You'll Never Find", "It's Not Unusual" and so many more as he has over 800 songs he can sing. Jerome recently sang at Merna’s Café and everyone just loved his performance, this was the second time that Merna brought him back due to popular demand. You can also hear him singing at Grand Oaks Steak House in Beaumont which was built in 1884, he is there the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 6 pm to 9pm, He also plays the Farmhouse in Banning on the last Sunday of the month from 5pm to 7pm, locally he is at the French Valley Care last Friday of the Month from 6pm to 9pm and the Hemet Elks you can check out where he is playing from his website.

I met Jerome many years ago and since then he has done several charity events for me and always the feedback is how amazing he is. No matter where he performs he always gets a standing ovations.  He also has 4 CD’s that he has put together which all are amazing and one is a gospel CD.

 

Besides being an entertainer and great singer he is very proud of his other accomplishments in being a father, grandfather and great grandfather and loves the moments he gets to spend with his family who live in other states.  He also is a former policeman and a veteran and loves performing for veteran events.

 

Jerome is a gentleman with a big heart and treats everyone he meets with respect and dignity.
